Ten students from Daegu Heath College and two Columbia College staff  went on a field trip to New York City, NY on Saturday, July 22, 2012.  There were guided tours to Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, and Times Square. First, the staff and students took Statue Cruises to go from Battery Park to Liberty Island. The group went inside the Statue of  Liberty to two observation decks.  Then, they went up to the Empire State Observatory and thrilled to the awe-inspiring vision of the city beneath them. On July 20, Daegu Health College students took a second field trip to Washington DC. This time, they visited  National Gallery of Art, The White House, George Washington Univ. and Georgetown and Georgetown Univ. Through this trip, they could know how the USA has become the most powerful and outstanding country in the world.  

Daegu Health College students took a field trip to Washington, DC to see some of the important sites. The purpose of the trip was to give students a better understanding of the U.S. history and background information about America's  politics and culture.  

Language Study Program: Daegu Health College On July 9th, ten students from Daegu Health College in Korea are participating in the orientation at Columbia College. For three weeks, they will be in part of our ESL program and engage in classroom learning. They will also deepen the appreciation of the history and society of America and develop vocational and practical English expressions. In addition, they will enjoy cultural activities such as sightseeing trips and visits to nearby places of historic sites on weekends during their stay.
