Pumpkin carving contest award was held on November 13th on Thursday. Evening 300 class(Mohammed, Adel, Eda, Carola, Ziyzd, Guy David) won the first award and morning 201 A class (Alanood, Fawzeyah, Ming Yang, Juhee) got the second award.
ESL students and teachers celebrated Halloween carving pumpkins with their class mates and the carved pumpkins were displayed to be voted for. As an another event, all the teachers and students dressed up in spooky Halloween costumes and came out of their classrooms for photo time. Afterwards, they all paraded around the campus. Award Ceremony for Halloween Costume Party was held on 13th of November. Abreu, Nicole got the Best Halloween Costume Party Award. She wears scary skull costume.

President Ju Sung Kim and Professor Seung Jo Jung from Ansan University visited Columbia College from October 14 through October 17.

ESL students and faculty went on a field trip to Newseum in Washington DC on October 8th. Students learned about history and the media through many interactive activities at Newseum.

This summer ESL students are engaged in a special program. Do you wonder what they are doing? On the first week, students learned about formal dinner table manners and ways to set up a table properly, and students and teachers showed their special recipes and brought their food to share. The funniest time was when students made a presentation of their special recipe as a group. They used construction paper to make kitchen utensils and ingredients.
