During the recess, we had an award ceremony for the winners of Folklife Festival Field Trip Essay Contest. The winners deserved to boast of their writing skills that they have sharpened at Columbia College. All other students, teachers, and staff members got together in front of the reception desk to congratulate those who were awarded, giving them a big round of applause. College Fair was held in Fairfax Campus auditorium on June 24. We had a big turn out of students who learned about many academic programs offered at Columbia College. There were hot dogs and refreshments and well as a raffle drawing for prizes!

New Student Orientation was held in the Auditorium at Fairfax campus on May 22. New students were introduced to Columbia College faculty and staff and also enjoyed refreshments. Welcome to Columbia College!

A Culinary Arts tasting exam event was held at the classroom on Tuesday, May 20th, hosted by students and instructor of CUA252 Advanced Cooking Theory & Practice B. This event was a part of the college’s culinary arts degree program and planned and prepared by the students currently enrolled in the class as part of their final exam for the Session 2014-II.
