Congratulations!!!

Columbia College will celebrate its 20th anniversary October 17, 2019.
Our school was established in 1999 in Manassas, Virginia, to meet the region’s growing demand for people
with professional skills and training in the industrial and vocational fields.

Our school has grown, day by day, as students pursue the American dream.
Columbia College is a cross-generational college connected to community, grounded upon the principle of “students first.”
Our student body is culturally diverse, and its rich tapestry provides invaluable multiculturalism on campus.
With that avenue, students are given global learning opportunities within an excellent and professional academic arena.

Interestingly our school reflects the name of Italian explorer Christopher Columbus, who sailed across the Atlantic Ocean four times and is known for discovering the land of America in 1492.
Historically U.S. President Benjamin Harrison started to celebrate Columbus Day in 1892 to mark the 400th anniversary of Columbus’ landing in the Bahamas.
In 1934, U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt made Columbus Day a national holiday. Columbus’ adventure paved the way for the European exploration of the new land.
Saying this, we may find the common ground that our adventurous spirit will lead to the new world in our lives.
